Motion Design

The following is a collection of hand-picked projects with some of my motion design solutions.

Experience Roseburg Logo Boilerplate

This boilerplate was created for Experience Roseburg, a local Destination Marketing Organization. Each month, my teammate produced a video highlighting a different attraction in Roseburg, Oregon. With the videos' subject matter varying widely, it was my task to incorporate new brand assets and pull the videos together in a visual way.

My solution went beyond the standard logo reveal by teasing other attractions that might captivate visitors. While not everyone is drawn to winter steelhead fishing, they could be interested in glimpses of wine tasting, animals at the zoo, or whitewater rafting. After getting positive feedback from our client, I began to regularly update our boilerplate to seasonally-relevant footage.

I also collaborated with my teammate to establish a system and schedule for sharing video files to produce a unique boilerplate that he could render with the rest of the footage before his monthly publish date.

Seven Feathers Logo Boilerplate

Completed
2022

This Southern Oregon casino needed a boilerplate refresh. I was asked for something versatile enough to complement a range of TV spots (events, promos, and giveaways) while connecting the visuals back to fun and gambling. My solution features the iconic front entrance of Seven Feathers, showcases footage of their most popular games, and includes a distinctive logo reveal inspired by the vibrant lights and nightlife of Seven Feathers Casino Resort.

Con-Vey Logo Boilerplate

For this project, I was tasked with creating a slick logo reveal to be added at the end of YouTube videos and client presentations. My solution was to mimic the mechanized movements of the workshop and "convey" the logo across the screen.

7robotics Logo Boilerplate

Completed
2022

This quick-turn logo reveal was animated for a company that specializes in robotics automation. This complex industry is essentially where computer chips meet physical machinery, and so I took my inspiration from the component pieces and systems that come together to build a larger, interconnected whole.
